About the Position: 

Cactus Family Farms is currently seeking candidates for our Wean to Finish farms in the Ft. Dodge & Webster City areas! We pay for experience and we provide company vehicle with expenses paid for full-time positions!

The Wean to Finish Animal Care Technician will be responsible for ensuring proper animal care for our wean to finish sites. Swine experience at a minimum of 1 year is preferred, but not required. Must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIESInclude but not limited to the following:

Production:  Feeding, watering and conditioning pigs; environmental control ▪ vaccinating and treating pigs ▪ handling and moving pigs ▪ sorting pigs; production data collection and other assigned paperwork ▪ dead animal removal; various tasks specific to the position ▪ cross trains in other areas as needed ▪ assists in orientation and training of new staff members as requested.

Facilities/Supplies/Equipment:  Power washes, sweeps aisles, removes debris, and otherwise helps maintain facilities in clean, organized, functional condition ▪ does laundry as assigned by manager or supervisor ▪ closely follows CFF guidelines for safe use and storage of chemicals and medications ▪ safely uses, maintains and stores equipment ▪ notifies area manager or supervisor and helps in the repair of malfunctioning equipment/facilities.

Abides by CFF’s Vehicle Use Policy including, but not limited to: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; Safe/legal operation of company vehicle; Monthly reporting of mileage re-imbursement to CFF for personal miles; Ensures proper maintenance of vehicle.
